I am going to eat all THE foods!!” But I have mastered my cravings and if you want to feel calm and in control around your favorite foods…AND that does not mean NEVER eating it…I know I thoroughly enjoyed my big donut that I love inside of Epcot.

If you grew up in the 70’s, 80’s and part of the 90’s you were taught that you need to struggle…to sacrifice for a lean healthy looking body.
Eat lots of lettuce…salads! Yogurts!! All the foods that our furry little woodland creatures eat! Carrots…celery…etc.
BORING!
You were taught that in order to have a lean body you must withhold on the foods you REALLY wanted to eat.
And you MUST NEVER EVER NEVER EVEN THINK about eating them again.
And that your sacrifice WILL pay off.
If you are still operating from those messages…how are you feeling right about now??
I know when I grew up in the ballet world it was very much about eat as little as possible…like just barely get by …but then you were expected to have stamina as a dancer and guess what food does for your body??
When you fuel your body …it gives you energy.
So who came up with this idea that you need to sacrifice in order to lose weight…because I want to have a talk with them!
Sacrifice feels like such a heavy word.
And ladies…society has taught us that we must be the ones who sacrifice…
Sacrifice your time…for your kids. Driving them all over the place. Making sure their wants are taken care of first….for your partner…your parents…for your friends. No wonder we all are people pleasers!
Sacrifice your energy …because you are in charge of having an impeccable house so you won’t be “ashamed” if anyone should happen to stop by unannounced.
Sacrifice your true inner thoughts because someone ELSE told you… you “should” look a certain way!
You do all these crazy things to lose weight…
Drink shakes that are disgusting and leave you feeling unsatisfied.
Try the latest diet but ALL your favorite foods are NO where to be found in the stringent list you “MUST” follow.
You buy a meal plan that’s just “okay” but you wind up added more stuff to it to make it more filling for you.
The way weight loss is presented to us is exhausting and goes against EVERYTHING you ACTAULLY want to do!
So you sacrifice because you think that if you just had the body… that you think you will get by doing all the crazy things… you will be happy.
Guess what?
You won’t.
Because the way you got the body is not the way you can sustain that body.
Stop hating yourself skinny!

Did you know that losing weight could be fun???
You CAN lose weight eating the foods you LOVE.
You CAN lose weight doing FUN activities.
Setting your mindset up is the KEY.
You have to do that first.
Most jump right into the doing…the what to eat, how to eat it, what to do exercise wise and how to do it but it does NOT work long term.
Trust me.
I have TRIED.
