Welcome to Shape It Up over 40!

I am your host Nicole Simonin and I help women lose weight for the last time.

All this month I will be giving your strategies to navigate your way through the December because it’s a HoliDAY not the HoliMONTH (if you don’t get this reference go back and listen to the Dec 1st episode. (Click here for Dec 1st episode.)

Continuing on with how to NOT lose weight over the holidays…so if you have decided that this December is NOT the time to focus on losing weight…you’ve decided instead you might as well enjoy the season …and there’s this whole COVID thing…you have decided to make the holidays your time to gain weight…I have great news for you!

It’s super EASY to gain weight over the holidays!!

TIP #2 Make Sure You’re Ravenous Before Going To Any Holiday Party

In fact, it’s probably best if you don’t eat at all the day of the party, this way you can be sure you’ll overeat, and really do some serious damage at the dessert table.

To get the biggest bang for your buck, be sure to eat plenty of the hors-d’oeuvres that are fried and highest in calories.

I would recommend the puffed pastries and “pigs in a blanket”.

Also don’t forget to socialize by the food table so you don’t burn any extra calories walking backing and forth, and you can really reap the rewards of mindless eating.

Here’s how to lose weight over the holiday

Seriously, mindless eating is for real!

Especially, if you are in a social situation.

You might be nervous or feel self-conscious around other people…and you will always think eating is the answer.

There is something about not eating when everyone else is!

Next time you go to a social event I’d love for you to do this… Eat before you go and see how uncomfortable you will be when you don’t eat while everyone around you is.

That uncomfortableness is 100 % normal!

But it’s also something you do not have to experience.

You don’t have to settle for the body you are currently in.

White-knuckling your way to being fit isn’t the answer.
