For the Love of a Cure

Mark the Date!

On Oct 2, 2010 at Rutgers University, a group of women will be sweating for a great cause!

These women are the wives of former NFL professional football players from the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.  You think the football games between these two rival teams is exciting…well, I can’t wait to see the game with the wives!

These ladies will be battling it out on the basketball court for two great causes 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer and Tackling Lung Cancer, The Keisha and Levon Kirkland Fund.  Renee Reese (CEO of JadaReneeStyle.com, fashion guru and wife of Ike Reese) and Tammi Trotter (wife of Jeremiah Trotter) planned this basketball event aptly named “For the Love of a Cure”. Both have lost close family members and friends to cancer.

You probably know someone that has encountered some form of cancer.  My mother is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed the same year that my father was diagnosed with cancer.  They both have been cancer free for seven years. They are one of the lucky ones.  Don’t you think there should be more “lucky ones” in the world?

If you have a loved one that has cancer, wouldn’t you want the best care provided for them?

Helping support this benefit will aid the medical community to finding better treatments and hopefully a cure.

We women don’t always get the credit we deserve…we are strong and tough…and very giving!

Shape It Up Fitness is proud to be a sponsor for this great event and hopes that you too will become involved.

For anyone that purchases tickets to “For the Love of a Cure”, I will be offering a 50% off discount for the October 2010 Shape It Up Boot Camps.
